Loukas Dimitropoulos

Loukas Dimitropoulos has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of UX design. Loukas is currently working as the Head of UX Design at ION since September 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of UX Architecture at ION from April 2021 to September 2023.

Before joining ION, Loukas worked as a Lead UX Consultant for a Tier 1 Investment Bank from April 2019 to March 2021. Loukas also had a brief stint as a UX Manager (Interim Contract) at Brilliant Basics in March 2019.

Loukas has experience in contracting roles as well. Loukas served as a UX & Service Design Lead at Deutsche Asset Management from July 2017 to March 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal UX & Service Design Consultant at QuantumBlack, McKinsey from June 2016 to June 2017.

Loukas has also worked as a Lead UX Designer at Potato from January 2015 to June 2016 and as a Senior UX Designer at Sky from April 2014 to December 2014.

Loukas started their career at RMA Consulting as a Senior Interaction Designer from August 2012 to April 2014. During their time there, they worked on various projects, including consulting for UBS on their trading platform and working on agile projects for HSBC.

Loukas also worked as a User Experience Designer at Pancentric from September 2011 to July 2012. In this role, they worked with clients like Natwest BIS, Atos Consulting, Universal Publishing Production Music, Bluewater, and Allen & Overy.

Loukas began their professional journey as a Trainee/Junior Researcher at HCI Group, Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, University of Patras, Greece from September 2008 to July 2009.

Loukas Dimitropoulos obtained a National Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras from 2004 to 2009. Loukas then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Human Computer Interaction with Ergonomics at UCL from 2010 to 2011.
