Lead Product Owner, Ionic Framework & Stencil at Ionic

Matt Netkow has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Matt is currently working at Ionic as a Product Manager for Appflow. Prior to this, they were the Head of Product and Solutions Marketing at Ionic and also served as the Head of Developer Relations. Before joining Ionic, Matt worked as a Senior Product Evangelist at Ionic.

Apart from their roles at Ionic, Matt also founded Netkosoft, where they focused on cross-platform mobile app development using PhoneGap, HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS.

Matt has also worked at Slalom as a Consultant for Architecture and Development. Matt was involved in implementing a significant IT project for Starbucks and developed a notification system that contributed to additional revenue. Matt also managed the implementation of the Apigee API platform and transitioned it to the DevOps team.

At Pluralsight, Matt worked as a Pluralsight Author, creating online video course content for developers, with a focus on hybrid app development.

Earlier in their career, Matt worked at The SAVO Group as a Senior Software Developer, where they managed offshore development teams and mentored junior developers. Matt also designed enterprise integration offerings and played a role in creating automated solutions for financial services firms.

Before that, Matt worked as a Junior Software Developer and Developer at The SAVO Group, focusing on creating custom software for clients and designing/architecting new integrations.

Additionally, Matt gained teaching experience as an Operating Systems Teaching Assistant at Marquette University and gained internship experience at Motorola as a Software Developer.

Matt Netkow earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Spanish for the Professions from Marquette University, where they attended from 2005 to 2009. In terms of certifications, they obtained the following: Certified Scrum Developer from Scrum Alliance in February 2018, Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) - .NET Framework 4.0 Web Developer from Microsoft in September 2011, Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) - ASP.NET 3.5 Web Developer from Microsoft in November 2010, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) - ASP.NET 3.5 Web Developer from Microsoft in September 2010, AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon in January 2018, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon in January 2018.
