Courtney Alexandra Astore

Courtney Alexandra Astore is a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since November 2022, with a comprehensive background in bioinformatics and related fields. Astore earned a PhD in Bioinformatics from Georgia Institute of Technology in May 2023, having also obtained a Master's degree in the same field and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology and Biomedical Sciences from the University of Central Florida. Prior roles include Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology, Associate Scientist at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc., and various positions at the University of Central Florida, including Vice President and Treasurer of the UCF Synthetic Biology Club, Research Assistant, and Resident Assistant. Astore's experience encompasses drug discovery, statistical genetics, laboratory protocol development, and interdisciplinary STEM education, complemented by an entrepreneurial venture as co-founder of Enasci-x, focusing on innovative medical tools.
