Peter Backeris

Peter Backeris has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering. Peter started their career as a Research Engineer at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2010 and held various roles within the organization, including Lead Biomedical Engineer and Engineering Manager. In these positions, Peter was responsible for designing and fabricating parts and devices for clinical and basic research, as well as managing the Rapid Prototyping Center.

In 2019, Peter joined Tatch as a Lead Hardware Engineer and worked there until 2020, leading hardware engineering projects.

After that, they joined OneCare, Inc. as the Director of Device Engineering in 2020. Peter held this role until 2023, overseeing device engineering operations.

Currently, Peter is working as an Embedded Software Lead at Iontra Inc, a position they have held since 2023. In this role, they are responsible for leading the software development efforts for embedded systems.

Peter Backeris has a comprehensive education history in the field of engineering. Peter obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. Subsequently, they pursued further studies at the same institution and completed their Masters of Engineering (ME) degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from 2010 to 2013.
