Peter Dorhout

Peter Dorhout currently serves as the Vice President for Research at Iowa State University, a position held since January 2021. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President for Research at Kansas State University, where an interim role was filled in early 2016, and holding the title of Dean/Professor of Chemistry, overseeing a diverse college with 115 unique degrees and significant research funding. Dorhout has also contributed to Colorado State University-Pueblo as Interim Provost and held various academic roles at Colorado State University, including Dean and Professor of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry. Peter's research background includes consultancy at Los Alamos National Laboratory and earlier work with DuPont as a co-op research student.
