Sales Development

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Sales Development Representative to join our growing Wholesale team in New South Wales on a full-time basis.

With a strong focus on strategic growth within the Electrical Wholesale channel in New South Wales, IPD aims to provide valuable support to our highly valued partner wholesalers, ensuring sustainable growth.

Supported by a dynamic Customer Service team, an excellent product portfolio, and estimation and engineering support, your success is within reach.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role will be based at our Wetherill Park office.

Duties & responsibilities:

• Establishing and maintaining strong business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory to drive new business opportunities.
• Presenting, promoting, and selling IPD products and services to existing and potential customers using persuasive arguments.
• Identifying and capitalising on new business development opportunities within the designated territory to achieve sales and margin growth targets.
• Proactively engaging with electrical contractors through the wholesale channel to create demand for IPD products and services.
• Achieve desired sales outcomes, challenging objections where required.
• Liaising & collaborating with key stakeholders.
• Coordinating with the wider sales team to ensure comprehensive solutions are provided to customers, maintaining high levels of customer service.
• Providing a high level of customer service

Experience & attributes:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the electrical industry
• Experience working in or supporting the Electrical Wholesale channel preferred.
• Strong relationship building skills (“likeable & trustable”)
• Self-motivation with a focus on results
• Keen attention to detail, organisational & time management skills
• Excellent written, verbal interpersonal & communication skills
• The drive to seek continuous improvement.
