Mert K.

Mert K. is a Senior Research Engineer at IPVM since September 2022, previously serving as a Ph.D. Researcher and Course Instructor at New York University from January 2019 to August 2022. Mert focused on advanced data analysis techniques to uncover interactions in biological and technological contexts, and developed a biomimetic robotic platform to investigate animal behavior related to fear and anxiety. Earlier experience includes internships at OPTIMA packaging group GmbH, GMD Proje, Bilfinger Inc., and a teaching assistant role at Purdue University. Mert holds a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from NYU Tandon School of Engineering, along with a Bachelor's degree from Purdue University and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, complemented by a dual high school diploma from the American Collegiate Institute.
