Jan Kohout has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Beginning in 2009, they worked as a programmer at the Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics, where they co-developed web games for a gaming portal. In 2010, Jan became a labs teacher at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Java programmer at the Institute of Mathematics, contributing to the EuDML project. Jan then pursued their PhD at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague from 2012 to 2020. During this time, they also conducted research as a researcher at Cisco Systems starting in 2013, specializing in machine learning in security. Currently, Jan works at TruU, Inc. as a Senior Data Scientist, starting in May 2022.
Jan Kohout's education history begins in 2007 when they started their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Charles University. Jan completed this program in 2010. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Theoretical Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence at Charles University from 2010 to 2012.
After completing their Master's, Jan enrolled in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Czech Technical University in Prague in 2012. Jan pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Computer Science and successfully completed it in 2020.
In addition to their formal education, Jan obtained two certifications from Cisco. In 2011, they obtained the certification for CCNA Exploration - Network fundamentals. Then, in 2013, they achieved another certification called CCNA Exploration - Routing protocols and concepts.
Overall, Jan Kohout has progressively developed their knowledge and expertise in computer science through their educational pursuits, culminating in a Ph.D. in Computer Science.
