Abhijeet Golwelkar

Abhijeet Golwelkar has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Abhijeet started their career as an R&D Scientist at UtopiaCompression Corporation in October 2004 and worked there until December 2005.

From December 2005 to December 2016, Abhijeet worked at Imagine Communications (formerly Leitch and Harris Broadcast) as a Software Engineer. In this role, they extensively worked on lower level modules (LLM) in the Scrum group, developing applications to support video pass through devices, video storage, and software codecs for the Nexio Video servers. Abhijeet also developed codec interfaces for various formats like Mpeg2, DV, H264, HEVC, Jpeg2000, ProRes, and DnxHD, for different resolutions and worked with various SDKs like Mainconcept, X264/265, Ittiam, Apple ProRes, and DnxHD.

Since December 2016, Abhijeet has been working at Irdeto. Abhijeet initially started as a Senior Software Engineer, where they led the integration of Irdeto's watermarking products and services for customers. Abhijeet also developed, maintained, and enhanced these products and services using technologies like Python, C/C++, NodeJs, Linux, Docker, and git.

Currently, Abhijeet holds the position of Solutions Architect at Irdeto since March 2022. In this role, they serve as the technical expert representative in customer-facing engagements. Abhijeet is responsible for capturing detailed customer requirements, designing and ensuring the technical integrity of the solutions, and acting as the primary technical point of contact for customers. Abhijeet also develops strong relationships with senior decision-makers at customers and partners, guiding and influencing solutions and related decisions.

Abhijeet's work experience highlights their expertise in software engineering, codec development, video servers, and technical architecture. Abhijeet has a proven track record of successfully handling customer engagements and delivering high-quality solutions.

Abhijeet Golwelkar completed their education in a chronological manner. Abhijeet first attended Savitribai Phule Pune University from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electronics and Teleommunications Engineering. Following this, they pursued further studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1999 to 2001, obtaining a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering. Abhijeet continued their academic journey at the same institute and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical Engineering from 2001 to 2004.
