Michiel Willemsen

Head Of Sales For Northern And Western Europe at Irdeto

Michiel Willemsen has a diverse work experience starting in 1979 with Digital Equipment Corporation, where they worked as a Consultant for their Product Marketing team. Michiel was responsible for acquiring and supporting solution framework partners in the areas of Network and System Management framework, as well as Document Management and Office Automation framework.

In 1996, Willemsen joined Irdeto Access B.V. as a Liaison Officer, and later served as an Interim Sales and Marketing Director. Michiel then became the Sales Director for Central Europe, a position they held until 2006.

Willemsen continued their career at Irdeto, where they worked as a Strategic Accounts Director from 2007, and subsequently became the Head of Sales for northern and western Europe in 2016.

Most recently, in 2023, Willemsen joined Energie Coöperatie Bunnik as an Energy Coach/ Energy Ambassador.

Throughout their career, Willemsen has gained a wide range of experience in sales, marketing, and strategic account management within the technology and energy sectors.

Michiel Willemsen attended Marianum Groenlo from 1968 to 1973, where they did not receive a degree or pursue a specific field of study. Following this, from 1973 to 1978, they attended HTS Enschede and obtained a BSc in Electrical Engineering.
