Vianney le Clément de Saint-Marcq has held a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2009. From 2009 to 2014, they were a Researcher at the Université catholique de Louvain, where they were funded by the FNRS, and also involved in the university organization as a researchers' representative. Vianney also had various teaching tasks, including a 2-week class in Benin. In 2014, they began working as a Senior Consultant at PwC Belgium, where they were involved in interoperability and open data projects for the European Union. In 2015, they began working as an Embedded Software Developer at Essensium, and also as Head of Software at Iristick, where they were in charge of the software stack architecture, including firmware and SDK design and development. In 2018, they began working as a Director at Dynamic Search.
Vianney le Clément de Saint-Marcq received their secondary school degree from Sint-Jan Berchmanscollege in 2004, majoring in Greek-Mathematics. Vianney then went on to the Université catholique de Louvain, where they earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science with a minor in Electrical Engineering in 2009. Vianney then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science at both the Université catholique de Louvain and the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, which they completed in 2013.
