David L. Knoll

David L. Knoll is currently a Senior Fellow at the Irregular Warfare Initiative and a Senior Research Scientist at CNA Corporation. In the past, Knoll has also worked as an Independent Researcher at the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization and as a Rosenthal Fellow at the Office of the Secretary of Defense. With a background in International Relations, International Security Studies, and Arabic Language Studies, Knoll has also served as a Firefighter at the Seminole Trail Volunteer Fire Department. Additionally, Knoll played a key role in advising former Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto on their final book project, focusing on the relationship between Islam, democracy, and the West.
