Takeshi Uemoto

Project Manager, Japan at Irving Resources

Takeshi Uemoto is a geologist with over 20 years of experience in the mining industry. Takeshi has worked in various roles, from junior expert to senior exploration geologist, and is currently a project manager for Irving Resources in Japan.

Uemoto began their career in 1997 with the Japan International Cooperation Agency, where they worked as a mineral resources development specialist. In 2001, they transitioned to Mitsubishi Materials Natural Resources Development Corp., where they spent the next five years as a senior geologist.

In 2006, Uemoto moved to Australia to work for Gold Fields at the St Ives Gold Mine. Takeshi spent just over a year in this role before being promoted to senior exploration geologist at the Agnew Gold Mine. Takeshi held this position for 12 years before joining Irving Resources in 2019.

Takeshi Uemoto completed their undergraduate degree at The University of Western Australia before going on to complete their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Ore Deposit Geology at the same school.

Takeshi Uemoto reports to Akiko Levinson, President, Chief Executive Officer, Director. They work with Lisa Sharp - Chief Financial Officer, Haruo Harada - Director, President Japan, and Toshiyuki Goto - General Manager, Omu Office and Omui Mine Site, Japan.
