Dong Yi Chen 陈冬夷

Dong Yi Chen has a diverse work experience, starting from 2014. In 2014, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Michigan Plasma Panel Radiation Detector Lab. In 2015, they worked as a Team Manager at the University of Michigan Dinning Hall Facility. In 2016, they worked at the University of Michigan as a Water Propellant System for Small Satellite, where they developed an avionics system for the world's first water propellant storage and feed system for electric propulsion thrusters and co-authored a research paper for the Small Sat Conference 25th Annual Frank J. Redd Student Competition. In 2017, they worked as an Interiors Engineering Design Intern at Tesla and an Externals Architecture Engineering Intern at Pratt & Whitney. In 2018, they worked as an Engineering Design Intern at Pratt & Whitney in the Hot Section Engineering (Diffuser & Combustor) department. In 2019, they worked as a Subsea Engineer in the Upstream Engineering department and Engineers in Operations in Santa Ynez California at ExxonMobil. In 2020, they worked as a Machine Learning Platform Project Manager at TuSimple. Currently, they are working as a Technical Program Manager - Autonomous Driving at ISEE, an MIT spin-off which is paving the way for autonomous vehicles that can deal with unfamiliar situations and complex interactions on the road.

Dong Yi Chen's education history includes a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Michigan College of Engineering, which they obtained between 2014 and 2018. In 2017, they completed a Summer Exchange at Ecole nationale supérieure de l'Electronique et de ses Applications, where they studied Probability Theory and French. In 2015, they completed a Summer Exchange at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where they studied Advanced Physics and Modern Philosophy. Dong Yi also holds a High School Diploma from HSES, which they obtained between 2010 and 2014.
