Research Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer at iSIZE Technologies

Alexis Lechat began their career in 2016 as a Summer Research Intern at IMT Atlantique, where they developed an application for a 3D visualisation of brain activity using Unity (C#) and compatible with Oculus Rift. In 2017, they were a Research Intern at the University of South Australia Institute for Telecommunications Research, where they modelled satellite orbits and footprints using Python and Matlab, and analyzed GPS satellites recordings. In 2018, they were a Research Intern at CEA, exploring deconvolution strategies based on deep learning for galaxy image deconvolution. That same year, they began their PhD Student role at ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab, where they conducted research on continual/incremental learning for deep neural networks applied to computer vision applications. In 2022, they began their role as a Research Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer at iSIZE Technologies, where they are enhancing video streaming with advanced machine learning.

Alexis Lechat has a diverse education history. From 2013-2015, they attended Classe préparatoire aux grandes écoles Lycée Clemeanceau, Nantes, France, where they studied Mathematics and Physics. From 2015-2018, they attended both IMT Atlantique and Telecom Bretagne, where they earned an Engineer's degree and a Master of Engineering - MEng in Mathematics and Computer Science, respectively. Lastly, from 2018-2021, they are currently attending Université de Caen Normandie, where they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Computer Science.
