Matthias Treder

Matthias Treder began their career in 2005 as a PhD Student at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour. In 2009, they became a Research Associate at the Technische Universität Berlin, where they worked in the Machine Learning Lab and the Neurotechnology Group. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as a Research Associate at the Medical Research Council. In 2014, they moved to the University of Cambridge, where they worked as a Research Associate. In 2016, they moved to the University of Birmingham, where they worked as a Research Associate. From 2017 to 2021, they worked as a Lecturer in Computer Science and Research Associate at Cardiff University. Currently, they are a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at iSize Technologies.

Matthias Treder has a diverse educational background. Matthias obtained a Master's degree in Cognitive Psychology from Radboud University between 1998 and 2004. Subsequently, they completed a Propedeuse in Computer Science from the same university between 2004 and 2006. In 2012, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Technische Universität Berlin. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from Coursera and the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute, such as HTML, CSS, and Javascript for Web Developers (2022), Introduction to Virtual Reality (2022), Computational Vision (2021), Customising your models with TensorFlow 2 (2021), Getting Started With Tensorflow 2 (2021), Convolutional Neural Networks (2020), Deep Learning Specialization (2020), Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization (2020), Neural Networks and Deep Learning (2020), Sequence Models (2020), Structuring Machine Learning Projects (2020), and NVIDIA DLI Certificate – Fundamentals of Deep Learning (2020).
