Kristofer Nielsen

Kristofer Nielsen has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Kristofer has held various leadership positions in different organizations. Kristofer started their career in 2004 as a Manager of Interpreter Services at Access Alliance Multicultural Health and Community Services. In 2006, they joined the Provincial Health Services Authority as a Manager of Interpreter Services in the Provincial Language Services department. In 2008, they transitioned to HealthLink BC, where they served as the Manager of Business Solutions and later as the Director of Strategic Service Development. In 2012, they joined the BC Provincial Government as a Project Director for Home Health Monitoring. Kristofer then moved to Island Health - Vancouver Island Health Authority in 2015 and took on the role of Project Director for Integrated Community EMR. Kristofer progressed within the organization and held various positions, including Director of IHealth Strategy for Community Health and Care, Executive Project Director (Interim) for the Enterprise Project Delivery Office and IHealth Project Teams, Corporate Director for Workforce Scheduling, Optimization, and Business Solutions, and Executive Director for Employee Relations and Scheduling Services. Currently, they hold the position of Executive Director for Workforce Strategy and Talent at Island Health.

Kristofer Nielsen completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hon) degree in Anthropology, English, and Zoology from the University of Toronto from 1999 to 2001. Kristofer then pursued a Master of Science degree in Medical Anthropology from UCL from 2002 to 2003.
