Sergio Iorio

Sergio Iorio is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the specialty chemicals and industrial sectors. As CEO and Founder of Italmatch Chemicals SPA since 1998, Iorio transformed a small MBO into a leading global group with a focus on Water, Oil & Gas, Lubricants, and Plastic Additives, achieving remarkable revenue growth from €20 million to €300 million annually and expanding operations to 15 countries. Iorio successfully led four exits delivering 3-4x equity values and established a robust international presence through strategic acquisitions and investments. Previously, Iorio served as CEO and General Manager of Italmatch SPA, managing €200 million in sales and facilitating its transition to independence. Earlier roles include General Manager of ILVA SPA's Automotive Business Unit and Managing Director for EMEA and North America, solidifying a strong background in managing P&L across multiple regions and sectors. Iorio holds a Doctor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Università degli Studi di Genova.
