Jamie Wylie has a diverse range of work experience in the oil and gas industry. They started their career as a Control & Instrumentation apprentice at Centrica Energy from September 2012 to September 2015. They then worked as an Instrument Commissioning Technician from September 2015 to January 2016 before assuming the role of Control and Instrumentation Technician from January 2016 to October 2017.
Following this, Jamie joined Petrofac in October 2017 and worked as an Offshore Instrument Technician on a North Sea semi-submersible production platform. They were responsible for carrying out daily PM/PMA tasks, responding to plant breakdowns, and ensuring permitry and risk assessment compliance. During their tenure at Petrofac, they also served as an Offshore Lead Instrument Technician from May 2021 to July 2022.
Currently, Jamie is employed at Ithaca Energy as an Offshore Lead Instrument Technician. In this role, they are accountable for planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance tasks as the team lead. They have also been seconded to the offshore maintenance team lead position.
Throughout their career, Jamie has demonstrated strong technical skills in instrument maintenance and commissioning. They are experienced in using various tools and systems such as SAP/Maximo, ISSOW/Proscient, and F&G and ESD systems. Their work focuses on reducing maintenance backlog hours, optimizing work management, and ensuring safety and production critical maintenance.

Jamie Wylie completed a HNC in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Central Lancashire between 2012 and 2016. Prior to that, Jamie attended Ulverston Victoria Sixth Form from 2010 to 2012 for A Levels.
