David Nisbet

David Nisbet has a strong background in geology and hydrology, with experience in various industries. David is currently the Head of Geology, Peat & Hydrology at ITPEnergised, where they lead the delivery of assessments and solutions related to geology, ground conditions, and peat for renewable energy and electricity infrastructure projects. Prior to this role, they worked at SLR Consulting for over 9 years, where they served as an Associate Geologist, Senior Geologist, and Project Geologist. At SLR Consulting, they gained valuable experience in geotechnical and mining projects, including wind farms, substations, commercial and residential developments, and coal mining risk assessments. David also worked as an Environmental Engineer at BAE Systems, supporting the assessment and redevelopment of a former brownfield site. Additionally, David has worked as an Exploration Geologist at Fortescue Metals Group and Noventa Ltd, where they contributed to geological evaluations and mapping projects.

David Nisbet completed their education at the University of Glasgow from 2007 to 2012, where they pursued a degree in Earth Science. Prior to that, they attended Lenzie Academy from 2001 to 2007. In addition to their formal education, David has obtained various certifications in areas such as first aid, peatland action, off-road driving, quarry safety, and more.
