Geilan Malet-Bates

Geilan Malet-Bates is a seasoned professional in the fields of blended finance, impact investment, and nature-based solutions, currently serving as the Senior Programme Coordinator - Blended Finance Lead at IUCN since December 2022. In addition to this role, Geilan chairs The Green FinTech Forum, which promotes collaboration to foster a sustainable global economy. Geilan is also an International Advisory Board Member at W Startup Community, focusing on empowering women in technology. Previous positions include membership on the National Sustainability TaskForce and the Sustainable Business Group Advisory Board at The Institute of Directors, and serving as Community Manager at SwissFinTechLadies. As a Founding Director at Plenitude.io, Geilan specialized in ESG and climate-focused investments, while earlier experience included a decade at Morgan Stanley in various roles within fixed income sales and client services. Geilan holds a BA in Italian and Business Studies from UCL and has studied at Università Bocconi.
