Lead Scientist, Upstream Process Development at iVexSol

Maroof Alam has a diverse work experience spanning over different companies and roles. Maroof is currently working at iVexSol as a Lead Scientist in Upstream Process Development. Prior to this, they worked at Garuda Therapeutics as a Principal Scientist in Upstream Process Development. Maroof also held the position of Principal Scientist in Upstream Process Development at Apic Bio, Inc. before joining Garuda Therapeutics.

Before transitioning to principal roles, Maroof Alam worked as a Senior Scientist at Sarepta Therapeutics. Maroof also gained experience as a Scientist at Generation Bio and Batavia Biosciences.

Maroof Alam's research career began as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Research Fellow at Aligarh University, where they independently planned and executed experimental strategies and managed lab duties.

Their early experience includes working as a Research Assistant in Cell Biology at Suven Life Sciences Ltd. Overall, Maroof Alam has a well-rounded work experience in the field of research and development, with a focus on upstream process development.

Maroof Alam pursued their Master of Science (M.S.) in Molecular Biology & Biotechnology from Tezpur University from 2001 to 2003. Maroof then went on to complete their Ph.D. in Biotechnology with a focus on Nanoparticulate drug delivery systems and Vaccine development from Aligarh Muslim University, during the period of 2004 to 2009.
