Eoin McGrath

Eoin McGrath has over 16 years of work experience in various roles within the IT security field. Eoin is currently the Head of IT Security at Ivy Technology since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Yahoo as a Senior Security Manager from December 2018 to January 2022, and as a Global IT Security Policy and Risk Manager from January 2020 to September 2021. Eoin also briefly served as the EMEA Security Lead at Verizon Media in December 2018.

Eoin's previous experience includes positions at Aviva, where they were the Chief Information Security Officer from October 2017 to November 2018, and the CISO Security Lead for Ireland from October 2016 to October 2017. Eoin also worked at BT Ireland as an IT Security Manager from September 2014 to October 2016.

Before their time at Aviva and BT Ireland, Eoin was a Security Technology Consultant at Zurich Insurance plc from June 2013 to September 2014. Eoin was responsible for implementing and operating various security tools and served as a project manager for enterprise tool implementations. Eoin also worked as a Systems and Network Administrator at Zurich Insurance plc from September 2010 to June 2013, where they administered the internal network and enforced IT security standards.

Eoin's earlier work experience includes roles as a Helpdesk/Network Engineer at the Department of Foreign Affairs in Ireland from March 2008 to October 2010, a Second Level Support at Waverley City Council from June 2007 to December 2007, and a Second Level Support at Telstra from January 2007 to May 2007.

Eoin'scareer started as an EFTPOS Engineer at Signa Transactions from April 2006 to October 2006.

Eoin McGrath completed a Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from the Institute of Technology, Carlow from 2002 to 2003. Prior to that, they also obtained a National Diploma in Computing in Systems Management from the same institute from 2001 to 2002, and a Certificate in Computer Networking and Optical Communications from 1999 to 2001. Eoin has also obtained several certifications, including Accredited Configuration Engineer from PaloAlto and Company in 2016, CCNA Security (IINS) from Cisco in 2015, CISSP from (ISC)² in 2014, CISA from ISACA in 2014, Occupational First Aid from FETAC (Further Education and Training Awards Council) in 2013, and CCNA from Cisco in 2012.
