Thomas Galligan

Thomas Galligan has an extensive work history in the insurance industry, specializing in actuarial analysis and data analytics. Thomas most recently worked at Ivy Technology as the Director of Data Science & BI Reporting, leading teams in developing and implementing data and analytics strategies. Prior to that, they were an Actuarial & Analytics Associate Director at Grant Thornton Ireland, where they focused on data analytics strategy and new business development. Thomas also held positions at Travelers as a Senior Actuarial Analyst, AIG as an Actuarial Analyst, and Aviva International Insurance Limited as an Actuarial Analyst. Throughout their career, they have gained experience in pricing, data analysis, systems development, and leading cross-functional teams.

Thomas Galligan holds a BA degree in Management Science and Information Systems Studies (MSISS) from Trinity College Dublin, which they obtained between 1999 and 2003. Prior to that, they attended Blackrock College, Dublin from 1992 to 1998. Thomas is currently pursuing their professional exams in Actuarial Science through the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, a program they are expected to complete in 2021.
