Shimin Huang has a diverse work experience in various research and engineering roles. In 2018, Shimin worked as a Research Scholar at the Semiconductor Research Corporation. Prior to that, Shimin was a PHD Student at Cornell University starting from 2016. From 2011 to 2016, Shimin worked as a Research Assistant at Drexel University, where they focused on characterizing and optimizing antenna performance for implantable wireless medical devices. In 2013, Shimin worked as an R&D Electronic Engineer at Aurora Optics, Inc., where they redesigned circuits and debugged FPGA boards for aerospace fusion splicers. In 2012, Shimin worked as a Protection & Control Engineer at Exelon - PECO, where they conceptualized substation interfaces and configured software for remote equipment monitoring.
Shimin Huang attended Drexel University from 2010 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. During the same period, they also obtained a Master's Degree in the same field from Drexel University. Following this, from 2016 to 2021, Shimin Huang pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University.
