Nathan Walworth, PhD has a diverse work experience. Currently, they serve as the VP, Head of Microbiome Science at Vesta, PBC. Nathan has previously worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor (Research) and a Research Associate at the University of Southern California, as well as an Adjunct Scientist at the J. Craig Venter Institute. Nathan is also involved in various advisory and leadership roles, such as being a Founding Co-Chair of the NEXUS Futurism Working Group at NEXUS Global Summit, an Advisory Board Member at sparks & honey, and an Advisor at Terpli Inc. Additionally, they are the Co-Founder of CoValence, LLC, where they focus on creating up-cycled, functional apparel. Nathan is known as a renowned Speaker, having spoken at numerous domestic and international summits on a wide range of topics. Nathan is also a Co-founder of Asha Apothecary. Furthermore, they have experience as an Adjunct Faculty at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, where they co-instructed graduate students on regenerative design, regenerative culture, and exponential technologies.

Nathan Walworth, PhD, has a strong educational background in the field of microbiology and biogeochemistry. Nathan earned their Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2009. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Molecular Ecology at Lund University, which they completed in 2011. Nathan then went on to obtain their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Southern California in 2015, specializing in Evolutionary Microbiology and Biogeochemistry. Nathan has additional certifications including a PhD from the University of Southern California.
