Lisa Lapin

VP, Communications at J. Paul Getty Trust

Lisa Lapin joined the Getty in September 2018 as vice president of communications. She oversees all central communications, media relations and marketing for the Getty. Prior to joining the Getty, she served for 10 years as the chief communication officer at Stanford University. Prior to that, she led communications at the University of California, Davis, and spent 15 years as a journalist and editor at the Sacramento Bee, the San Jose Mercury News, the L.A. bureau of the New York Times, and the Los Angeles Times. She is a member of the Arthur Page Society, the American Marketing Association, and served on the Public Affairs Committee of Association of American Universities, and as a trustee to the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. Lapin holds a master’s degree from Stanford and a B.A. in journalism from the University of Southern California.
