Joe Minami

Joe Minami started their career as a Web Designer at the United Nations in 2005. Joe then worked as a Visual Designer at AKQA in 2006 and at Method in 2007. In 2008, they joined 80/20 as a Senior UX Designer and designed products for clients until the company was acquired by Square in 2012. At Square, they worked as a Senior Product Designer and played a significant role in establishing the design framework for Square's products. Joe also contributed to the expansion of the company's offerings for merchants and consumers by working on projects such as Square Market, Square Pickup, Square Order, and Caviar. In 2017, Joe became a Product Design Lead at Troops, a Slack-funded company, where they led product design and automation of workflows for key sales activities in Salesforce within Slack. Troops was subsequently acquired by Salesforce. Following their time at Troops, Joe joined Cash App in 2019 as a Product Designer and worked there until May 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Product Design Lead at Jane Technologies, Inc., starting in January 2023.

Joe Minami has a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Design and Technology from Parsons School of Design - The New School. Joe also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Environmental Design from the same institution. The specific start and end years for both degrees are not provided.
