Architect Anya Bell is based in Jasmax’s Christchurch practise. With a keen interest in the education sector and designing large-scale public spaces working in multidisciplinary teams, Anya’s skills lie in generating concepts in collaboration and delivering that concept through documentation to construction.
Key projects Anya has through concept design to on site include Ara Kahukura and Addington Primary School. Her experience includes significant masterplanning design for education and civic clients in the South Island, including Ashburton College Masterplan and Timaru Girls’ High School Masterplan.
Anya was drawn to architecture through her passion for both art and physics. After graduating from the University of Auckland in 2013, Anya spent a year working in the urban project team in the Auckland office, before heading off for a year on her OE. Returning to Aotearoa, she jumped at the chance to join the South Island team in 2015, where she has been ever since working across a range of sectors.
Born and bred in Alexandra in Central Otago, Anya is passionate about shaping the future of the build environment, particularly public and civic spaces in the South Island.
