Kimberly Browne

Associate Principal, Registered Architect at Jasmax

Associate Principal, Kimberly Browne, is an Australian educated, New Zealand Registered Architect with a passion for well-crafted design projects.

Her Australian work experience includes projects in the heritage, civic and hospitality sectors. After arriving in New Zealand in early 2000, Kimberly expanded this knowledge gaining further valuable experience in the education and commercial sectors.

As an Associate at Jasmax, she was the Project Architect for the foundation stage of the Catholic Diocese’s then new Sancta Maria College in East Tamaki. A change in direction saw Kimberly develop a close working relationship with NZIA gold medal winning Architect Marshall Cook, as Project Architect on a series of high-end residential and commercial projects at Cook Sargisson & Pirie Architects.

Upon returning to Jasmax, Kimberly played a leading role in delivering the B405 Faculty of Engineering / Te Herenga Mātai Pūkaha project for the University of Auckland. Her detailed construction knowledge and ability to co-ordinate complex engineering requirements into the architectural fabric of the building culminated in her role as the primary Delivery Architect for this highly specialised $220 million facility. Opened in 2020, B405 represents a transformative change for the University, bringing all engineering departments back together for the first time in 20 years.

Kimberly is actively engaged in the wider industry. In 2011, she was appointed in an on-going role as a Registration Assessor for the NZRAB. This role was expanded to include a position of the NZRAB Governance Board in 2016, which Kimberly still holds.
