Early Childhood Certified Infant/toddler Assistant Teacher

JCC Greater Boston, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a vibrant and inclusive community, is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Certified Assistant Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our team. As a Certified Assistant Infant/Toddler Teacher at JCC Greater Boston, you will contribute to the mission of nurturing meaningful and lasting relationships while providing a high-quality early childhood education rooted in Jewish values. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the children in your care's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Eligible for $1,000 sign-on bonus

This posting is for a full-time, salaried Assistant Teacher. There are opportunities in the Infant and Toddler classrooms. The starting salary for this position is $43,000-$44,625. The salary offered will ultimately be determined by the scope of the position, the candidate’s relevant experience, and internal equity. JCC Greater Boston also has openings for part-time Assistant Teachers with multiple shift options.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe and nurturing environment where children can play, learn, and take risks
• Assist with the smooth running of the classroom environment
• In partnership with Early Learning Center Directors and peers, co-create a collaborative, dynamic, positive, and innovative classroom culture
• Work in partnership with JCC leadership and other departments to support JCC Greater Boston organizational goals and model JCC values
• Partner and communicate with families to ensure the best care and education for the children
• Complete observation and document assessments regarding children’s progress
• Adhere to all EEC regulations and guidelines
