Rich Walter

Chief Impact Officer at Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta

Rich Walter is an experienced professional in Jewish education and community engagement, currently serving as Chief Impact Officer at the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta since July 2020, after holding positions as Chief of Programs and Grantmaking and Vice President of Programs and Grantmaking. Prior to this role, Rich worked at Emory University as Associate Director of the Israel Studies Master’s Program, where educational programming about modern Israel and Zionism was developed. Additionally, Rich served as Vice President of Curriculum and Outreach at the Center for Israel Education, focusing on curriculum development and teaching seminars. Rich's leadership experience includes a term as Board President of the Atlanta Jewish Music Festival and various roles in Jewish education organizations, including the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven and the Bureau of Jewish Education of Rhode Island. Rich holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Near Eastern and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University and a Master’s degree in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies from the same institution.
