Angel Mendoza

Angel Mendoza serves as the Technical Leader of the Human Resources in Health Program at Jhpiego since May 2023, focusing on enhancing the Ministry of Health's Telehealth initiatives and national digital health strategy in Mozambique. Previous roles include Professor at Universidad Continental and Technical Leader for Health and Training Systems at Jhpiego from 2008 to 2019, where significant contributions were made to the establishment and operation of Telehealth Mozambique and the evaluation of healthcare service delivery. Further experience includes a Technical Training Advisor position at the Ministry of Health of Mozambique and National Technical Advisor for Training in the Reproductive Health Sector at UNFPA. Early career experience comprises an Executive Supervisor Director role at the Territorial Health Unit in Peru. Angel Mendoza holds an MD from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and is currently pursuing additional education at Universidad de San Martín de Porres.
