Eugene So

Eugene So has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries and roles. Eugene'smost recent position was as the Managing Director of Lifelong Learning at Jobs for the Future (JFF) since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at InStride - Strategic Enterprise Education™ as the Director of Academic Programs and Pathways from 2020 to 2022. Before that, they held multiple roles at Shorelight, including Associate Vice President of Global Solutions, Senior Director of Strategic Partnership Development, and Director of Operations, Business Development from 2014 to 2020. Eugene also worked at Kaplan International English as a Student Services Manager from 2011 to 2014 and Yonsei University as a Career Development Consultant from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, they have experience as a Faculty Manager/Head Instructor at Chungdahm Learning from 2007 to 2011. Earlier in their career, they worked at Wells Fargo as a Client Services Manager from 2005 to 2007 and at Deutsche Bank as an Account Manager from 2003 to 2005.

Eugene So holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in International and Comparative Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, which they completed in 2013. Prior to their graduate studies, they attained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from UC Irvine in 2003. In terms of additional certifications, Eugene obtained a certificate in Managing Transitions in the Workplace: Grief and Resilience from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in February 2021. Additionally, they earned a Certified Blockchain Expert designation from the Blockchain Council in April 2018, and a Dale Carnegie Leadership Training Certificate from the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training in February 2015.
