Albor Dobon Alonso

Postdoctoral Research Assistant at John Innes Centre

Albor Dobon Alonso's work experience began in 2004 as a PHD student at the Instituto de Biología Molecular y Celular de Plantas, where they worked until 2008. After that, they served as a Research Assistant at the same institute from 2008 to 2009. From 2010 to 2012, Albor worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Instituto de Biología Molecular y Celular de Plantas. They then moved to the John Innes Centre and held various roles: Marie Curie Intra-European Fellow from 2012 to 2014, Postdoctoral Researcher from 2014 to 2015, and Postdoctoral Research Assistant from 2015 to the present. In 2018, Albor joined Leaf Expression Systems as a Senior Microbiology Scientist and also had a secondment role as a Plant Scientist for a few months.

Albor Dobon Alonso pursued their education in the field of biotechnology. Albor began their academic journey at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) where they obtained a BEng+MEng degree in Plant Molecular Biology, from 1996 to 2002. Following this, Albor proceeded to the University of Helsinki as an Erasmus Fellow in the Department of Applied Biology during the year 2002-2003. Subsequently, they returned to UPV to further enhance their expertise and earned a Master of Research degree in Biotechnology, which they completed from 2004 to 2006.
