Rita Clifton Cbe

Rita Clifton CBE is an accomplished leader in sustainability and corporate governance, currently serving as Deputy Chair of John Lewis Partnership and Senior Independent Director at Ascential Plc. Since December 2020, Rita has been Chair of Forum for the Future, an international sustainability organization, and holds a Visiting Fellow position at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. In addition to being a Fellow and former Trustee of WWF-UK, Rita is a Board Trustee at Green Alliance, a Board mentor at Criticaleye, and has held non-executive director roles at Nationwide Building Society and ASOS.com. Rita also contributed as a Panel Member for BP's Target Neutral initiative. Rita Clifton holds an MA (Hons) in Classics from the University of Cambridge.
