James Harris

James Harris is an accomplished surgeon currently serving as the Chair of Surgery at Johns Hopkins-Howard County General Hospital and Howard County General Hospital since June 2007 and September 2019, respectively. Harris holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, obtained from 2003 to 2007, and a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Fresno. With extensive experience in surgical leadership, Harris has significantly contributed to the advancement of surgical practices within the institutions.
