Dr. Janna Laverdiere Dmd

Dr. Janna Laverdiere DMD has a diverse work experience that spans various healthcare organizations and roles. Since 2018, they have been working at Johnson Health Center, initially as a Staff General Dentist and later as the Dental Director. In their role as Dental Director, they oversee daily operations, budget maintenance, employee training, and engagement at four dental clinic locations. Dr. Janna has also played a key role in collaboration efforts and data collection for grants focused on oral health integration and dental outreach in the local community. Additionally, Dr. Laverdiere serves as an Affiliate Dental Instructor to dental students from Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to their work at Johnson Health Center, they gained experience as a Dental Resident at Chase Brexton Health Care and as a Dental Student Extern at Winslow Indian Health Care Center. Dr. Janna also has experience as a Dental Assistant/Front Desk Receptionist at Karthilde Appolon, DDS. Dr. Laverdiere's earlier experiences include roles such as Intercultural Aide and First Tier Spartan Connect Engager at the MSU Office of Cultural & Academic Transitions, Nutritional Science Research Capstone at the MSU Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition, Nutrition Project Assistant Volunteer at Telamon Corporation Michigan Migrant Head Start, Undergraduate Research Assistant at the MSU Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition, and Emergency Room - Trauma Center Volunteer at Sparrow Health System.

Dr. Janna Laverdiere DMD earned their Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, where they studied dentistry from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended Michigan State University from 2008 to 2012 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences with a specialization in Environmental Studies. In addition to their educational background, Dr. Laverdiere holds certifications in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS), CPR & AED, and a Dental License from the Commonwealth of Virginia.
