Ryan Ewell

Ryan Ewell, Ed.D. has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. Their most recent position was as a Principal at Johnston County Public Schools, a role which they have held since July 2021. Prior to that, they served as an Assistant Principal at the same institution from June 2017 to July 2021.

Before joining Johnston County Public Schools, Ryan participated in a Dual-Principal Residency (Internship) program at North Carolina State University from August 2016 to July 2017. Ryan also worked as a Chemistry and Physics Instructor at Warren County Schools from July 2012 to June 2016.

Additionally, Ryan's early career involved serving as an Orientation Student Leader at North Carolina A&T State University from January 2010 to December 2010. Overall, Ryan Ewell, Ed.D. has gained extensive experience in the education field, building a strong foundation in various leadership and teaching roles.

Dr. Ryan Ewell's education history includes a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from East Carolina University, which they obtained from 2018 to 2021. Ryan also holds a Master's Degree in Secondary School Administration/Principalship from North Carolina State University, earned between 2015 and 2017. Furthermore, they completed an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in General Science/General Education from Vance-Granville Community College from 2013 to 2014. Dr. Ewell's undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, General, which they earned from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University between 2007 and 2012. In addition to their degrees, they obtained certifications as a School Administrator from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction in 2017 and as a Science teacher for grades 9-12 in 2012.
