Jamie Hill

Director of Communications at Real

Jamie Hill is the current Director of Communications at Real. Prior to this, they were a Public Affairs Manager at Google from February 2012 to July 2021. In this role, they advised Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs on strategic messaging and department operations, prepared him for meetings with agency and White House officials, and managed workflow and access. Jamie also coordinated public events, including press conferences and special events.

From September 2010 to February 2012, Jamie Hill was a Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the Department of Health and Human Services. In this role, they compiled research and drafted communications including presentations, media analysis, and strategic messaging for use by the Secretary, senior staff, media, and stakeholder groups. Jamie also pitched stories to local news outlets about the benefits of the ACA.

Before their work in the government sector, Jamie Hill interned at the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants from June 2010 to October 2010 as part of their International Program Policy Internship for Haiti. During their time there, they assisted in the resettlement process of refugees coming into the United States. Jamie also interned at Amnesty International from September 2009 to May 2010 as an Outreach and Administrative Intern. In this role, they helped with various administrative tasks as well as assisting with outreach efforts to promote human rights awareness.

Jamie Hill has a degree in French Language and Cultural Studies from Université Paris-Sorbonne. They also have a B.A in Peace and Conflict Studies: Human Rights, Global Poverty from University of California, Berkeley.

They are on a team with Nina Vasan - Chief Medical Officer, Reese Shebel - Creative Director, and Tyler Landis - Head of Finance. Jamie Hill reports to Ariela Safira, Founder & CEO.
