Greg Spurrier

Greg Spurrier is a software engineer who currently works at Propel. Greg has previous experience working at Liftoff Mobile, Inc and LinkedIn. At Liftoff Mobile, Inc, Greg was a key contributor to a real-time bidding system handling 1M+ requests per second and the distributed backend systems supporting it. Greg was also the tech lead of the Bidding Team and a mentor to new engineers. technologies that they worked with included Clojure, Go, PostgreSQL, and Kafka. At LinkedIn, Greg was responsible for mobile front-end server development for three LinkedIn mobile apps. Greg was also the tech lead of the Mobile Platform Team, led teams responsible for GitHub profile integration and 2nd generation Events product, and was a mobile team representative for cross-company Technical Leadership, Multi-datacenter Migration, and REST API working groups. Technologies that they worked with included Scala, Node.js, Clojure, Ruby on Rails, MySQL, and MongoDB. Before working at Zvents, Greg was the Chief Software Architect.

Greg Spurrier has a M.Eng. and S.B. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
