Maharnab Bhattacharjee

Junior Scientific Researcher at Joint Institute for Nuclear Research

Maharnab Bhattacharjee is a Junior Scientific Researcher at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, contributing to the Multi-Purpose Detector - Electromagnetic Calorimeter group for the NICA experiment since May 2019. Previously, Maharnab served as a Junior Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, involved in the Fermilab-DUNE collaboration, and as a Project Fellow at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, where actuator testing systems for the Thirty Meter Telescope project were developed. Maharnab is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics at Gauhati University, building on a Master of Science in Physical Science focusing on High Energy Physics, and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Science with a specialization in Astrophysics, both from the same institution.
