Tom J Crijns is an Orthopaedic Surgery Resident at Mayo Clinic since June 2022 and has served as an Associate Editor and peer reviewer for Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research and The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Inc. since September 2018. Previous experience includes a Senior Research Fellow at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin and a Surgical Assistant in the Department of Orthopaedics at Spaarne Gasthuis. Tom has also worked as a Scientific Researcher at VUmc, focusing on experimental research related to idiopathic scoliosis, and has held various positions in anatomy education, including Co-Chairman of the VU Student Anatomy Project. Tom holds a Doctor of Medicine from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Bachelor of Science in Medicine from the same institution.
