Alberto Carrillo Goyenaga has a diverse work experience spanning from legal roles to creative and technical management positions.

Alberto started their career as a legal intern at Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo in 2017. Later, they worked as a legal analyst at the same company for a short period.

In 2015, Alberto founded Tentmakers CR, where they presumably gained entrepreneurial experience.

From 2015 to 2019, they worked as a lawyer at Calzada Abogados, specializing in legal matters.

In 2020, Alberto worked briefly as a lawyer at Legal Center CR.

Their recent and current experience is in the creative and technical field. Alberto joined Journey in 2022 as an Art & Tech Manager, leading artist and developer teams. Their responsibilities included the design, production, and delivery of virtual worlds, games, virtual concerts, and XR experiences for AAA clients on various platforms. Alberto managed 3D artist and developer teams to deliver large-scale projects for corporate clients like Nasdaq, Walmart, and Mars. Alberto also contributed to client-facing strategies and addressed technical concerns for ongoing projects. Alberto collaborated with interdisciplinary teams and provided technical research, optimization, and review of resources. Additionally, they participated as a speaker at talks and forums on immersive technologies, generative AI, and virtual worlds. As of February 2024, they were serving as a Lead Developer at Journey.

Alberto Carrillo Goyenaga completed their education with the following degrees: a Master's in Business and Law in Telecommunications, Internet, and Audiovisual from Universidad Villanueva in 2016-2017, a Bachelor's degree in Animation, Interactive Technology, Video Graphics, and Special Effects from Universidad LCI Veritas from 2009 to 2015, and another Bachelor's degree in Law from Universidad de Costa Rica UCR from 2006 to 2015. Alberto also obtained additional certifications in "Consentimiento Informado: requisitos, formalidades y derechos conexos" from Agencia de Protección de Datos de los Habitantes in 2018 and "Derecho Informático: Hacia la Sociedad del Futuro" from Colegio de Abogados y Abogadas de Costa Rica in 2017.
