Luciano Meira

Luciano Meira has a strong background in academia and research. Luciano started their career as a Professor of Psychology at Universidade Federal de Pernambuco in 1992, where they currently hold a position. In 2010, they co-founded Joy Street and took on the role of Chief of Science and Innovation. Additionally, they have served as a Visiting Scholar at the Lemann Center for Educational Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Brazil at Stanford University in 2017. Meira also worked as a Research Fellow at CNPq - Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico from 2016 to 2019.

Luciano Meira pursued their education in a systematic manner, starting with a Master's degree in Cognitive Psychology from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco, which they completed in 1987. Luciano then went on to enroll at the University of California, Berkeley, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Mathematics Education, which they successfully completed in 1991.
