Andreas Schwankl

Andreas Schwankl has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Andreas is currently the VP User Experience Design & Research at Joyn GmbH, starting in November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Cornelsen Verlag GmbH as a TeamLead UX and Creative Lead from October 2018 to November 2021.

Before their role at Cornelsen Verlag, Andreas served as the UX Lead at uideation GmbH & Co. KG, where they led the digital product design of waipu.tv, a new TV experience on multiple customer platforms, from January 2016 to September 2018. Andreas also worked as a Freelancer at Random Society from March 2015 to January 2016.

Andreas gained extensive experience at here.com, where they held various positions. Andreas served as a Design Lead for https://wego.here.com, working on product experience, prototyping, user testing, and landing experience design from June 2013 to July 2014. Andreas also worked as a Principal UX Designer, responsible for design vision and prototype development for m.here.com, as well as design iterations for marketing-friendly landing experiences, from November 2010 to May 2013. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior UX Designer from December 2008 to October 2010.

Earlier in their career, Andreas worked at Hobnox GmbH as an IA and ID from 2007 to 2008. Andreas also served as a Freelance Service Designer at Vodafone from September 2003 to November 2006 and founded their own company, Dinorm Information Design, from November 2001 to December 2003.

Andreas Schwankl pursued their education at the Köln International School of Design (KISD) from 1999 to 2005. During this time, they earned a degree in Design and was awarded the title of Dipl. Des. Andreas focused on the field of study in design throughout their educational journey.
