Sharan Yalburgi

Sharan Yalburgi has had a diverse range of research and development experience. They are currently working as a Research Scientist at Julia Computing, where they are involved in building JuliaSim, a cloud-based simulation platform that combines SciML techniques with equation-based digital twin modeling and simulation. Sharan has also worked as a Research Developer at the University of Cambridge from October 2019 to July 2021. Additionally, they have served as a Research Intern at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from May 2020 to June 2021 and at Inria in June 2019. Sharan has also participated in Google Summer of Code with NumFOCUS(PyMC) in April 2018 to August 2018.

Sharan Yalburgi completed their education at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani from 2016 to 2021. They obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Mathematics during this time and also completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Sharan also obtained several certifications from Coursera. These certifications include "Neural Networks and Deep Learning," "Structuring Machine Learning Projects," and "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization." The certifications were obtained in 2017, with specific months mentioned for two of them.
