Josh Roland has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Josh is currently working as a Senior Product Manager at JumpCloud since March 2021. Prior to that, from June 2019 to March 2021, they worked as the Director of Product Management at PGi.

In 2018, Josh served as the Head of Product at Movecoach, where they were responsible for the marketing, customer success, and product teams. During their time there, they analyzed and formulated an organizational roadmap to improve product-market fit, including the launch of a new freemium service.

From 2015 to 2017, Josh worked at TrainingPeaks as a Sr. Product Manager. Before that, Josh worked as a Product Manager at Simple Energy from October 2014 to May 2015, and at Gogo Business Aviation from January 2012 to October 2014.

Prior to transitioning into product management roles, Josh held various positions at Tektronix and Lumentum. At Tektronix, they were a Regional Sales Manager from March 2011 to November 2011. At Lumentum, they served as a Senior Product Line Manager from March 2006 to May 2009. In this role, they managed global SFP transceiver product lines, and was responsible for product life-cycle planning, pricing, and revenue growth.

Josh started their career as an Engineering Manager at Mountain Optech, Inc. from July 1998 to March 2006. In this role, they led the engineering group, won a DoE contract for the design and development of a rugged data storage device, and led the design and qualification of new products for Panasonic and Airshow/Rockwell Collins. Josh also designed the first rugged CD-ROM drive for commercial aviation applications.

Josh began their professional journey as a Senior Programmer at Tenere from July 1996 to July 1998, where they managed the programming department and collaborated with the production department to ensure project completion within budget and schedule.

Josh Roland's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) obtained from the University of Colorado Boulder, which they completed from 1991 to 1995. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Colorado Boulder - Leeds School of Business from 2001 to 2004. Additionally, they attended Kellogg Executive Education, although the specific dates of their attendance are not provided. During their educational journey, Josh also obtained certifications such as Scrum Product Owner from Mountain Goat Software in 2015, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) from Swift Ascent, LLC in 2013, and Scrum Master from Agile For All, LLC in 2013.
