Rishi Ganeriwala has over 14 years of work experience in various roles and industries.
Starting in 2007, Rishi worked as a Production Assistant at Spectra Quest, Inc. for four years. Following this, in 2010, Rishi joined Consumers Energy as a Generation Engineering Intern for a three-month period.
In 2011, Rishi began working at UC Berkeley as a Graduate Student Researcher, where they focused on modeling and simulation of selective laser sintering/melting, a 3D printing technique for metals. They also worked as a Graduate Student Instructor during this time. Rishi's research and sample simulations can be viewed on CMRL Berkeley's website.
From 2014 to 2014, Rishi worked at Siemens Energy as part of the Materials and Technology team. They developed a computational model for selective laser sintering/melting and investigated applications of computational modeling in other laser-based manufacturing processes.
In 2016, Rishi joined Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as a Computational Physics Code Developer and Engineering Analyst. They held this role for five years.
Most recently, in 2021, Rishi joined Kairos Aerospace as a Senior Flight Systems Software Engineer.
Rishi Ganeriwala began their education at Mills Godwin High School from 2003 to 2007, where they completed their high school education. Rishi then pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Energy at the University of Michigan, graduating in 2011. Continuing their academic journey, Rishi went on to complete a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley from 2011 to 2013. Rishi further deepened their knowledge in the field by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering with a Designated Emphasis in Energy Science and Technology from the same institution, completing this degree in 2015.
