Todd Gustavson

Director of Flight Software at Kairos Aerospace

Todd Gustavson has a strong background in technology and engineering, with significant experience in leadership roles. Todd is currently the Director of Flight Software at Kairos Aerospace, a position they have held since 2023. Before joining Kairos Aerospace, Todd worked at AEye, Inc. for four years, where they served as the Sr. Director/Head of Laser Engineering and later as the Sr. Director/Head of Systems Hardware & Requirements. Prior to AEye, Inc., Todd was a Principal Software Engineer at Augmented Radar Imaging from 2017 to 2019. Todd also worked at Finisar as an Optoelectronics Product Engineer and at MIT as a Postdoctoral Associate. Overall, Todd has a wide range of experience in software engineering, system development, and product management.

Todd Gustavson completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics at Caltech from 1989 to 1993. Todd then pursued further education and obtained their Ph.D. in Physics from Stanford University, completing their studies from 1993 to 2000. In the period from 1997 to 1999, Todd also attended Yale University, studying Physics, although it is not specified if they obtained a degree from there.
